Digital signage is already more cost-effective in the long run than, say, print or other forms of advertising. But it can also generate extra income for you because as a business owner you will receive a percentage of each sale on your Kiosk(s) or sponsors in addition to also being able to promote your own content.
One of the best things you can do to improve customer experience is to keep them entertained. A digital screen gives them something to do, it’s a lot less annoying to wait in line if you’ve got something to watch. As a result, perceived wait time drops.
Zigcast allows businesses to advertise on the Kiosk whenever there are no scheduled Ads running. The goal for many in-store ads is just to get customers to take action right away: place an order, make a purchase, or follow some other kind of direction. However, other times, the goal is to let shoppers know about upcoming events – sales, promotions, in-store appearances, etc. When the display utilizes video, one of the benefits of digital signage is that it results in higher recall compared to static ads. The increase isn’t some small amount, either.
The benefits of digital signage aren’t limited to the in-store experience, either. Displays can also be used to attract passersby who may otherwise have never entered a brick-and-mortar business. While any type of display may attract attention – traditional signs, product displays, mannequins, etc. – digital signage has a very powerful advantage: it can leverage motion. This is one of the reasons digital signs capture an average of more than 400% more views than of static signs.
As a Zigcast business owner, the Zigcast app will have all the tools you need to manage the content on your Kiosk Digital Signage. Using the Zigcast app, you will be able to update the information advertisers see when they look at your business page, update pricing information, accept/reject Ads submitted for posting, and change the default Ads in seconds.
A Zigcast business owner account can only be created by a Zigcast administrator. To inquire about becoming a business owner or placing a Zigcast Kiosk in your location, send email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can access the business owner account by downloading the Zigcast app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Tap on the “Zigcast Business Owner” button to enter.
When your Zigcast business owner account has been established for you,enter the username and password that the administrator provided.
The homepage will list all the Kiosk locations that are under your account. You can tap on the individual accounts to manage the account.
Tapping on any of your Kiosk locations will take you to the “Edit Your Account” page. On this page, you are able to change the price for each of the time slots. Prices for an image Ad can be different from a Video Ad.
The business owner can also update the address and description field with whatever information they feel is necessary. This information will show on the page tag on the advertiser’s side of the App.
Additionally, by tapping on the “Timeslot” button. The Business Owner can select which time slots show up as available to the advertisers. With this option, the business owner can make any time slots that are outside of business hours unavailable.
Tapping the right arrow at the top right corner of the page will take you to the Ad request page. Here, business owners can view all the Ad requests for that specific Kiosk location. Tapping a specific Ad will enable the business owner to preview the Ad and the requested time slots.
Tapping the “REQUESTED” button will bring up all the pending Ads and provide the business owner with the option to preview, accept, or reject the Ad.
Tapping the right arrow at the top right corner of the page again will take you to the “COVER PAGE” page. From here the Business Owner can update the default Ads for that Kiosk.
The default Ad rotates between six tabs, roughly every 15 seconds. In each tab, the Business Owner can upload an image or video file. These tabs will continue to rotate until it is interrupted by the start of an approved Ad that is slated for that time slot. At the end of the approved Ad time slot, the system will return back to the default Ads.
Our mobile app is currently the only way to post an Ad on any signage in the Zigcast network. Interaction with our database is not available via our website. You can find our mobile app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
